That means it does not have pores (or they are too small to allow bacteria inside). There’s nowhere for bacteria to hide on a silicone surface!
It is hypoallergenic/non-toxic!
This means silicone is extremely unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. It does not harbor chemicals that can hurt you. That is why silicone is considered body-safe unlike many vinyl and jelly toys which often contain many harsh materials that can leach into your skin *yuck*.
We only use Platinum Cure Silicone!
Platinum Cure Silicones are very high quality silicones. These silicones are safe and often used in medical-grade prosthetics.
Silicone is very easy to clean!
Without pores, washing silicone is a breeze. Wash it with mild soap, a toy cleaner, put it in the dishwasher, or boil it, the freedom is yours. Silicone has a wonderfully high melting point so there is no need to worry about melting or damaging it.
Silicone is very easy to maintain!
As silicone does not like sharp objects, take care when using your toy around things like knives, scissors, or fingernails. Any nicks or small tears in silicone may make it more prone to ripping.
Silicone likes silicone. Do not use your toy with silicone lubricants. Do not store your toy with other silicone products unless they are in their own toy bag. Exposure to silicone can warp, discolor, or even permanently stick to your silicone toy! It is recommended to store toys individually in lint-free bags.
How hard is it really?
Here at PwP we want you to get exactly what you want. We are constantly trying to expand our range of silicone to meet all your needs.
We currently offer two types of silicone hardness:
Very soft 00-20: Typically used for masturbators and toys that need lots of stretch.
Soft A10: Typically used for flexible dildos.
Take a look at Smooth On’s Durometer for a better idea of silicone hardness!
